Some photos taken before the fun-filled chaos that ensued at the baby shower!
This past weekend was spent with the hubby at the Westin Golf Resort and Spa in Rancho Mirage. While the scorching heat of the desert was nearly unbearable (temperatures were over 100°F), it was quite relaxing. Saturday was mostly spent at the resort, lounging by the pool and taking in some night swimming. On Sunday following a hearty buffet breakfast, our adventure-seeking selves went aboard the aerial tram in Palm Springs which brought us up 8500ft to the Mt. San Jacinto State Park. The journey up (and down) this world’s largest rotating tram was quite breathtaking. Perhaps the best part was getting to the top where the weather was in the low 70s. Overall, this weekend was just what I needed to get some R&R. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend as well!
It’s been a challenge keeping up with blogging during a pregnancy. My first trimester was challenging to say the least, but now I’m well into my 2nd, my energy is back and the morning sickness is, thankfully, slowly disappearing. So expect to see more frequent posts in the coming months!
One of the 1st things I did when I found out I was pregnant was shop for maternity clothes. I shopped mostly online and at a nearby Destination Maternity boutique. I was amazed at how stylish maternity wear is nowadays. Last week, I was starting to get tired of my clothes so I raided my closet for alternatives. I found this old BCBG dress (which I last wore 2 years ago) and found it to be perfect! The empire waistline and stretch fabric easily accommodated my growing belly, and the cut was just perfect for this summer Cali heat. I love finding old treasures in my closet! I have lots more raiding to do… who knows what else I may find.
I was reorganizing my closet this week and had my camera out so I did an impromptu shoot of my humble Hermès collection. I say humble because if, like me, you enjoy perusing Purse Forum’s galleries, you would know this is nothing compared to what some of the ladies there have. Insane, I tell ya.
