My daughter’s birthday falls on Halloween. In light of the fact that it is just around the corner, and given that she is no longer a child, she is less likely to plan a costume. We have amassed a wide collection of costumes through the years — santa baby, pumpkin, Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Blossom of the Powerpuff Girls, Esmeralda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Cheerleader, Pirate, Dead Ballerina, Corpse Bride, Trash (go figure) and Amy Winehouse! One of my favorites was when she played a dead ballerina for her 13th birthday. I did her makeup and if I must say so myself, I did a pretty good job at making her look gory.
To join in the fun, I played masquerade!
For her Sweet Sixteen, she was Amy Winehouse. Hair, make-up & styling courtesy of moi! My brother designed the invite. It came out fantastic! She celebrated with her cousin Lauren, who turned 13.
